TVA SEEKS PUBLIC INPUT ON ROREX CREEK PUMPED STORAGE HYDROPOWER PROJECT - June 12 Public Meeting

TVA is seeking public input on alternatives to generate more electrical capacity at a public meeting on June 12th @ 6:00p at Pisgah High School located at 30 Metcalf Street. One alternative to be discussed is the proposed Rorex Creek Pumped Storage Hydropower (PSH) project. This project would create an energy generation capacity storage area near Pisgah where water would be stored and then pumped down the mountain through turbines to create an estimated 1,200-megawatt to 1,600-megawatts of power for use during high electrical demands. In addition to the public meeting you can also submit comments via email to nepa@tva.gov. Written comments should be sent to: Tennessee Valley Authority, ATTN: Elizabeth Smith, NEPA Specialist, 400 West Summit Hill Drive, WT-11D, Knoxville, TN 37902. Comments must be received or postmarked no later than July 14, 2025.
